- ALL ANIMALS SHOULD BE SKINNED AND SALTED IN THE FIELD IMMEDIATELY. LIPS AND EARS SHOULD BE TURNED AND LIPS SPLIT. SHOULD YOU NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO DO THIS GET THE SKIN TO THE TAXIDERMIST RIGHT AWAY.

- FREEZING CAN HELP IF FRESH. DO NOT ROLL UP TIGHTLY WHEN FREEZING AS THIS CAN SLOW THE PROCESS OF FREEZING AND CAN CAUSE HAIR SLIPPAGE.

-STUDY BOOKS OR HAVE A TAXIDERMIST EXPLAIN OR SHOW YOU HOW TO DO EARS, LIPS, AND NOSE AREAS. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL AREAS.

- A PHOTO OF THE ANIMALS FACIAL FEATURES IS A HELP FOR THE TAXIDERMIST WHEN SCULPTING THE FACE OF YOUR TROPHY ESPECIALLY IF IT HAS A DIFFERENT CHARACTER TO IT.
